Enable Ireland’s mission is to work in partnership with those who use our services to achieve maximum independence, choice and inclusion in their communities.
Enable Ireland (EI) in partnership with statutory agencies, provides a range of services for a diverse group of children and adults with disabilities and their families. Services are provided from 21 locations throughout Ireland to over 3,000 children, adults and their families. The services are provided in centres, family homes, schools, and other local community settings. Covering childhood to adulthood our expert teams work with the individual and their family on a plan for each life stage and transition period. Our services for children and their families cover all aspects of a child's physical, educational, and social development from early infancy through to adolescence. EI uses a holistic approach, which focuses on all aspects of the individual's life, particularly in the context of the community and society. Services include therapy, family supports, respite, pre-school and school support, assistive technology and postural management. A range of services for children with diverse needs are promoted, using various professional team approaches. We promote and work within the social model of disability.
